Student Outreach Programme (SOP)
We connect pupils and biomedical students with working professionals and involve them in Society life.
The Student Outreach Programme (SOP) aims at strengthening linkages between biomedical sciences student and BMSZ. We connect high school pupils and biomedical sciences college students with working medical laboratory professionals to talk to them about this great profession and answer any questions pertaining to it. We coordinate with biomedical sciences student associations to hold scientific symposia at their schools and connect them to working laboratory professionals for mentorship.
To carry our students along in everything we are doing and prepare the next generation of leaders, we involve biomedical sciences students in Society activities such as the organisation of national symposia, open air clinics, and medical laboratory week commemoration. We give career talks to high school and biomedical sciences students so that they see the great rewards we have come to experience in the practice of biomedical sciences and how much farther they can go in this limitless profession.
