Active Biomedical Scientist
For qualified biomedical scientists from institutions recognised by BMSZ and the Health Professions Council of Zambia.
K 900 / year
- At least a Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences
- Qualified from an institution recognised by BMSZ and HPCZ
- Employed or practising in a role that uses medical laboratory knowledge
Active Biomedical Technologist
For qualified biomedical technologists from institutions recognised by BMSZ and the Health Professions Council of Zambia.
K 600 / year
- At least a college diploma in biomedical sciences
- Qualified from an institution recognised by BMSZ and HPCZ
- Employed or practising in a role that uses medical laboratory knowledge
Student
For anyone studying towards a qualification in biomedical sciences.
K 100 / year
- Enrolled on a course leading to a biomedical sciences qualification
- Proof of enrolment or studentship
Retired Biomedical Professional
For professionals who have retired from work that required medical laboratory knowledge.
K 100 / year
- Retired from employment that used medical laboratory knowledge
- Includes those who left biomedical practice for another profession
Affiliate Member
For individuals who want to advance laboratory medicine and have a formal relationship with BMSZ.
K 1,500 / year
- Open to other health professionals
- Open to professionals outside the medical laboratory
Affiliate members are not eligible to vote at BMSZ meetings.
Corporate Member
For organisations that want to amplify their voice in laboratory medicine and find new opportunities.
K 5,000 / year
- Business houses, non-profit organisations and implementing partners
- Private laboratories, public institutions and similar bodies
Corporate members are not eligible to vote at BMSZ meetings.
